It is important to the success of the program that the people of LA County understand how it works and are empowered to support its goals. We are continually adding new elements to our Community Engagement & Education work in order to better serve our LA community.
The Safe Clean Water Public Education and Community Engagement Grants Program is now live!
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Safe Clean Water Program to make an impact in your local community! The LA County Flood Control District is partnering with the Water Foundation to administer the Safe Clean Water Public Education and Community Engagement Grants Program. The program will support education and community engagement efforts related to stormwater and urban runoff capture within the LA County Flood Control District.
Applicants may submit proposals anytime between September 24, 2024 and May 31, 2025, during the rolling application period. Water Foundation will evaluate proposals and award grants in periodic batches. For more information, including an application tutorial, dates for informational meetings, and application submission details, visit the Water Foundation’s website.
We encourage all interested parties to apply for funding, if eligible.
In support of the ongoing Safe, Clean Water Program Watershed Planning effort, the Community Strengths and Needs Assessment (CSNA) Survey is now live and ready to collect responses from communities served by the SCW Program (see link to the left). The CSNA Survey will gather community perspectives to strengthen the achievement of SCW Program Goals and beyond. For additional details, see the CSNA Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document. Currently, the CSNA Survey is available in English and Spanish but will soon be available in additional languages. For more information on Watershed Planning, see the SCW Program website:
