Community Engagement & Education

The Safe, Clean Water Program takes a collaborative approach to LA’s water needs.

It is important to the success of the program that the people of LA County understand how it works and are empowered to support its goals. We are continually adding new elements to our Community Engagement & Education work in order to better serve our LA community.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Safe, Clean Water Program to make an impact in your local community! The LA County Flood Control District is partnering with the Water Foundation to develop the Safe, Clean Water Public Education and Community Engagement Grants Program. The program will support education and community engagement efforts related to stormwater and urban runoff capture within the LA County Flood Control District.

The Grants Program is in the early development stages and is expected to formally launch in September of 2024. The program development process will include opportunities for public feedback on the program design. Complete the Water Foundation’s interest form to receive updates on program development and rollout.

We encourage all interested parties to engage in the program design public input process and apply for funding, if eligible.
