These differing landscapes present opportunities for a wide range of water capture and water quality projects, especially given the ecological importance of the San Gabriel River and Coyote Creek. For thousands of years, the Tongva people have called this watershed home with many communities along the San Gabriel River and its tributaries.
I love this watershed and the Pico Rivera Golf Course is so underrated! My favorite part of this role is meeting the community and working with students to educate them about stormwater.
