Draft Initial Watershed Plan Components:
Below is an overview of the main components of the SCR WA Draft Initial Watershed Plan, followed by links to the related documents, and a Public Comment Form to provide feedback.
SCR WA Executive Summary – Provides a succinct overview of the Draft Initial Watershed Plan and the Watershed Planning effort.
SCR WA Draft Initial Watershed Plan – Is a collaboratively developed strategic plan that:
- Identifies meaningful opportunities for multi-benefit investments, without describing specific projects, to advance the 14 SCW Program Goals within the WA.
- Articulates targets (desired outcomes) and identifies the strategies, actions, and opportunities to plan for, achieve, and track progress towards those targets.
- Proactively directs Project and Program implementation – i.e., empowers and guides the Los Angeles region to implement the SCW Program’s Goals across all 3 of its subprograms, using the same shared language, and to lead in the pursuit of shared countywide targets through WA-specific contributions.
Appendices – These are supplementary documents that provide detailed information on the technical analyses and engagement activities conducted in developing the Draft Initial Watershed Plan.
Note: Appendices A through H are the same for all nine SCW Program WA Draft Initial Watershed Plans, while Appendices I and J are specific to each WA.
Watershed Planning Tool (Planning Tool) – Currently in beta-version (draft), the Planning Tool is a living, online interactive companion to the Draft Initial Watershed Plans, consisting of a Planning Map and Planning Dashboard, which communicates progress and strategies towards achieving the SCW Program’s Goals.
