Public Education and Community Engagement Grants Program

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS!

The Safe, Clean Water Program (SCWP), in collaboration with the Water Foundation, is thrilled to announce the official launch of its first ever SCWP Public Education and Community Engagement Grants Program! The Grants Program will provide dedicated funding ($8.5M this cycle) for public education and community engagement efforts related to stormwater and urban runoff capture within the LA County Flood Control District, enabling residents to develop an increased awareness of the LA County Safe, Clean Water Program and participate in achieving its goals.

The application period opened on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 and proposals will be accepted until May 31, 2025. Grant proposals should be submitted via the Water Foundation’s online grants management system, Giving Data. Complete, eligible applications will be evaluated, and grants awarded every two to three months during this period. The grant activity time frame is flexible, but all grant-funded activity must be completed by July 31, 2026. We encourage all eligible parties to apply for funding!

Water Foundation will host an informational Zoom session on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 2pm to 3pm, where prospective grantees can learn more about the program and ask questions. This session will be recorded and posted on the Water Foundation’s website for those unable to attend. REGISTER HERE.
